I lost my Magical Movie Rewards card and need a new one... What do I do?

Marcus Theatres guests (excluding Marcus Wehrenberg locations):

If you know your account number, and you wish to receive a replacement card, you can CLICK HERE to login with your account number and your registered e-mail address. Once you’ve logged in, click on “Update Profile” and look over your profile information and please be sure we have your correct mailing address. Check the “I lost my card, please send me a replacement” box on the bottom of that page.

You can also contact the Magical Movie Rewards department by email at Rewards@marcustheatres.com to look up your account number.

Additionally, if you have a smartphone, you can store your account number on our Marcus Theatres mobile app, which is available for free on both iOS and Android devices. Once you download the app, go to the “Loyalty Card” section and select “I’m already a member”.  Do not select “Join Magical Movie Rewards now” as that will assign you a new number. Add your account number and name to store your account. You can show your “virtual card” on your phone rather than your plastic card to earn points during any transaction.

I lost my Magical Movie Rewards card and need a new one... What do I do? (Marcus Wehrenberg Theatre guests only)

Please visit your nearest Marcus Wehrenberg Theatre and request a replacement card. The staff will be able to look up your information, transfer your points, and provide a new card on the spot.

I lost my Magical Movie Rewards number... What do I do?

If you receive our weekly emails, your account number is noted in the upper left corner. 

If you do not receive our emails, an associate at any Marcus Theatres box office can look your Rewards number up for you. You can also contact the Magical Movie Rewards department by email at Rewards@marcustheatres.com or by phone at 855-289-5471 to look up your account number.

How do I convert my MVP account to a Magical Movie Rewards account?

MVP is now Magical Movie Rewards! Effective 5/17/17, you can exchange your MVP card for a new Magical Movie Rewards card at any Marcus Wehrenberg Theatre box office or guest services counter. The staff will be able to look up your information and provide the new card on the spot. As soon as you have your new Magical Movie Rewards card, you can log in HERE to check your Magical Movie Rewards status or click HERE to check the status of your available MVP Rewards

How long can I use my MVP card?

MVP is now Magical Movie Rewards! Effective 5/17/17, MVP account numbers can no longer be used to earn points. As soon as you convert your account, you can earn points, enjoy the other Magical Movie Rewards benefits and you can log in HERE to check your Magical Movie Rewards status or click HERE to check the status of your available MVP Rewards.

What happens to the points on my MVP card once the Magical Movie Rewards program begins?

As of 5/17/17, your MVP points will no longer be available. When you exchange your MVP card for a Magical Movie Rewards card, you will automatically receive 50 bonus points on your Magical Movie Rewards account which gets you half way towards your first $5 Reward! Your MVP Rewards will still be available to redeem through 6/30/17 on your Magical Movie Rewards card.

What MVP Rewards do I have available?

You can check your available MVP Rewards with an associate at the guest services desk at any Marcus Wehrenberg Theatre or you can click HERE. You can also log in HERE to check your Magical Movie Rewards status.

Why are you changing the MVP program?

Now that Wehrenberg Theatres has joined the Marcus Theatres family, we wanted MVP members to enjoy the same enhanced benefits as our Magical Movie Rewards program members. With the Magical Movie Rewards card, there are no complicated reward levels to track, you can use your reward dollars however you want, and you'll receive more great members-only benefits, including waived fees for online or mobile ticketing, free popcorn on $5 Tuesdays, and free refills on fountain drinks.

What is the difference between the MVP program and the Magical Movie Rewards Program?

Both programs award points for qualifying ticket and food & beverage purchases, but unlike the MVP program where you earn specific rewards at different point levels, the Magical Movie Rewards program is much easier to use and more rewarding. You will receive a $5 Reward for every 100 points earned. Your point balance will then return to zero and you start earning points towards your next $5 Reward. You can choose to spend your Reward dollars however you wish -at the box office for tickets, at the concession stand or at any of our food and beverage venues.  You can even save up your Rewards dollars to use for a special occasion. ($5 Rewards cannot be used for gift cards and online ticket orders.) In addition, Magical Movie Rewards members receive other benefits, such as waived fees for online or mobile ticketing, free popcorn on $5 Tuesdays and free refills on fountain drinks.  

Does the Magical Movie Rewards program have family accounts?

We recommend that each of your family members have their own cards and their own account numbers to receive individual benefits. Members of your immediate family may use the same Magical Movie Rewards account number, however, only one physical card is issued per account. Pooling of multiple account numbers into a single account is not permitted in the Magical Movie Rewards program.

Can my family member use my Magical Rewards card?

Yes, members of your immediate family may all use the same Magical Movie Rewards account number, however, only one physical card is issued per account. We recommend that your family members have individual cards and their own account numbers.

Do the Magical Movie Rewards points expire?

If you visit us at least once every 6 months, your points and Rewards will not expire.  However, your points will expire if there is no activity (points earned) in any consecutive 180 day period and Rewards will expire if there is no activity (rewards earned or used) in any consecutive 180 day period, regardless of how many points were earned towards your next reward. Unfortunately, expired Rewards points/dollars cannot be reinstated.

Where can I use my Magical Movie Rewards card?

Guests can use the Magical Movie Rewards card at all Marcus Theatres and food & beverage venues at theatre locations, excluding Marcus Wehrenberg Theatres.

If you registered your Magical Movie Rewards card at any Marcus Wehrenberg Theatre, your card can ONLY be used at Marcus Wehrenberg Theatres and the and food & beverage venues at Marcus Wehrenberg Theatre locations.

Can I earn points for my online (Fandango.com) ticket purchase?

Yes. Enter your Magical Movie Rewards account number when you make your online movie ticket purchase at MarcusTheatres.com or Fandango.com and you will accumulate points for that purchase*. As a Magical Movie Rewards member, your convenience fee will be waived.

How to earn points during online purchase:

1. Select your show time on the Marcus Theatres website. You will be forwarded to Fandango.com to purchase tickets.

2. Make ticket and/or seat selections.

3. On the Fandango payment page, click on the "Magical Movie Rewards" link under the "Theatre Rewards" section, just above the credit cards in the "Payment" section. (Tip: look for the image of the Magical Movie Rewards card!)

4. Enter your Magical Movie Rewards account number (without spaces or dashes), then click "Apply."

Rewards Dollars cannot be used as payment for any online purchases at this time.

Why am I being charged an online convenience fee?

When purchasing tickets on the Marcus Theatres website, you are forwarded to Fandango.com. If you logged into the Marcus Theatres website, your account number does NOT transfer from MarcusTheatres.com to the Fandango website, so be sure to enter it correctly on the Fandango payment page (as described in the previous question) to earn points for your purchase. If you did not enter it correctly, your order will not be connected to your card and you will be charged a convenience fee. Unfortunately, Marcus Theatres cannot refund this Fandango-collected fee. You can contact Fandango directly for a refund, but please note that Fandango will only offer refunds and exchanges PRIOR to your show time.

When you enter your Magical Movie Rewards number on the Fandango payment page, you will not have to pay the convenience fee and you will earn points for your purchase.

Why am I being charged a convenience fee on the mobile app?

This is not available for the Marcus Wehrenberg locations.

When ordering tickets through the Marcus Theatres app, the fee should appear as waived on the "Order Summary" screen. If a service fee is listed on the "Order Summary" screen, your card number has not been entered correctly into the mobile app. Open the menu and select "Loyalty Card" to enter your correct account information. Unfortunately, Marcus Theatres cannot refund the convenience fee once it is paid through the app.

Why does Marcus Theatres require me to provide personal information when I register the Magical Movie Rewards card?

Marcus Theatres asks for some personal information in order to contact you regarding special offers and announcements for Magical Movie Rewards program members. This information is also used to contact you if there ever is a problem with your Magical Movie Rewards account. All information is collected and used in accordance with Marcus Theatres privacy policy, which is posted HERE.

I have a card, but I would like a virtual card, how can I make the switch to the virtual card?

This is not available for the Marcus Wehrenberg locations.

If you have a registered plastic card, you can utilize your account and virtual card on the app. If you have a smartphone, you can store your account number on our Marcus Theatres mobile app.  The app is available for free for iOS and Android devices. Once you download the app, go to the “Loyalty Card” section and select “I’m already a member”.  Do not select “Join Magical Movie Rewards now” as that will assign you a new number. Add your account number and last name to store your account. You can show your “virtual card” on your phone rather than your plastic card to earn points during any transaction.

I forgot to bring my Rewards card to the theatre...Can I still earn points?

We prefer that you present your Magical Movie Rewards card at the time of purchase to receive your points. You can, however, provide the phone number during the transaction and a theatre associate can look up your account and add the points.

I was told that I would receive 50 points for registering my card. When will I receive them?

Once the card is registered, 50 points will be automatically added to the total of your next transaction with the card. These points may not appear as a distinct item, but rather be folded into the transaction’s total.

How do I earn points/Rewards Dollars? And what do Rewards Dollars buy?

With the Magical Movies Reward program, you receive one point for each dollar spent when you present your card during transactions at a participating Marcus Theatres location. When your points balance reaches 100, it resets to zero and you automatically earn a $5 Reward, after which you begin earning points toward 100 again to earn your next $5 reward. (Your point balance will never go above the 100 point mark)

When manually added points take the point balance over 100, the Reward totals may not show on your account until the next time you complete a transaction.

Points are awarded per individual transaction, not by dollars spent over a series of transactions. Points are awarded on dollars spent before taxes. Your points and Rewards Dollars will be stored on your Magical Movie Rewards card. You may visit MarcusTheatres.com to check how many points and Rewards Dollars you have accumulated. Your account must be registered to accumulate points and Rewards Dollars.

Rewards Dollars may be redeemed for movie tickets purchased at the box office and food and beverage items at any Marcus Theatre or restaurant located at our theatre locations. Rewards Dollars may not be used to purchase gift cards, VIP tickets, auditorium rentals or tickets purchased through a 3rd party. Rewards Dollars must be used at time of purchase and may not be exchanged for credit on a previous purchase. Rewards Dollars have no cash value.

Rewards Dollars cannot be used for online purchases at this time. 

How quickly will points /Rewards Dollars show on my account?

You’ll always get the most up to date information by logging in to our website marcustheatres.com. For points earned during a transaction, the points/Rewards information on our website will update within 60 minutes of the purchase. If you are looking for bonus points from a promotion, please take a look at the promotional emails’ fine print for the date we are expecting to see the points applied your account. If the points/Rewards dollars do not show in the phone app, please shut down the app (this is different from uninstalling the app) and re-open it. You can still redeem your available Rewards dollars even when your app is not showing them. The cashier will have access to the most up to date information when your card is scanned.

Why can’t I see my Rewards dollars totals on my app?

This is not available for the Marcus Wehrenberg locations.

Although the point balances update within 60 minutes, it may take the Rewards dollars a little longer.

The Rewards card number must be saved in the app as a form of payment. To do this, select the "settings" option in the menu and then select the "payment methods" option. If your Magical Movie Rewards card is not already listed there as "GiftCard", select "add a new payment method" and enter your Rewards card number as a gift card.

You may need to shut down the app (this is different from uninstalling the app) and re-open it. If the problem persists, shut down the app again, shut down and restart your device, then re-open the app.

You always get the most up to date information by logging in to our website HERE. You can still redeem your available Rewards dollars even when your app is not showing them. The cashier will have access to the most up to date information when your card is scanned.

Do I earn points for purchasing gift cards, VIP or other discounted movie tickets or items such as auditorium rentals?

You will accumulate Points upon the redemption of a Marcus Theatres Gift Card, VIP or other discounted movie ticket, but not for purchases of those items (exception: a $100 Marcus Theatres Gift Card will earn twenty-five (25) bonus points). Your purchase of auditorium rentals, group shows, field trips, catering events and other similar events are not qualified purchases and do not qualify for points.

Do I earn points for purchases made using coupons or with other special offers?

You will accumulate points for purchases made with coupons or pursuant to other special offers, but you will only accumulate the number of points that correspond to the actual amount you paid (pre-tax) after using the coupon or other special offer.

Is there a maximum number of points that can be earned for purchases?

Regardless of purchase price, you may earn a maximum of two hundred (200) points per qualifying purchase and one thousand (1,000) points per day.

I have multiple accounts, can they be combined?

Yes. Just send an email to Rewards@MarcusTheatres.com with the card numbers and please mention which card you would like to keep. Any transferable points or Rewards dollars will be moved to the current account. Unfortunately, the bonus registration points are non-transferable. You will receive an email to confirm when the merge has been completed.

I don’t know my app password! How can I reset it?

The Magical Movie Rewards Program does not require the password -the password is a function of the app to protect your payment information. Since the password information is not stored with Marcus, the solution is to remove your Rewards card from the app and re-enter it. If the problem persists, we would recommend that you log out of the app, uninstall and re-install the app, then log back in with your card number.

I lost my confirmation from my online or app order, how can I get my tickets?

No problem! We can look it up with the credit card or gift card used to make the purchase. Present the credit card or gift card at the box office or swipe it at one of our box office kiosks to get your tickets printed.

I want to discontinue my account. How do I do that??

If you wish to be removed from the Marcus Theatres Magical Movie Rewards program, please send your request to rewards@marcustheatres.com or contact our Rewards service office toll free at 855-289-5471 between 8:00AM and 4:30PM Central Time, Monday through Friday.
