Marcus Theatres® to Acquire Former OMNIMAX Theatre from Duluth Entertainment Convention CenterMarcus Theatres®, a division of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE:MCS), today announced it will acquire the former OMNIMAX Theatre located in the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) adjacent to the company’s 10-screen Duluth Cinema at 300 Harbor Drive. Marcus Theatres will convert the domed theatre, which closed in April 2011, to a nearly 70-foot-wide UltraScreen® auditorium. This will be the fourteenth UltraScreen in the company’s circuit.

Marcus Theatres® "Kids Dream" Winter Film Series Begins February 4 at Select Theatre LocationsMarcus Theatres® today announced its winter family fun series will return this February with a twist. “Kids Dream” will be the new name for the popular series that started five years ago as “Frosty Flicks.” The weekly series featuring G or PG rated family films will kick off February 4, 2012 at select Marcus Theatres locations. The “Kids Dream” winter film series is presented by American Family Insurance, the company that helps families protect their dreams.

MARCUS THEATRES® TO INTRODUCE BALLET IN CINEMA AT SELECT THEATRE LOCATIONSMilwaukee, Wis., July 7, 2011. . . . .Marcus Theatres® today announced it is joining the Emerging Pictures network of cinemas to show Ballet in Cinema, featuring classical ballets on the big screen at select Marcus Theatres locations beginning July 17, 2011. All Ballet in Cinema performances take place Sunday afternoons throughout the season at 11:00 a.m. local time. Admission for Ballet in Cinema performances is $15 for adults, seniors and children.

MARCUS THEATRES® ANNOUNCES LARGE-SCALE DIGITAL CINEMA ROLLOUTMilwaukee, Wis., July 5, 2011. . . . Marcus Theatres®, a division of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS), today announced it has signed a master license agreement with CDF2 Holdings, LLC, a subsidiary of Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. (NASDAQ: CIDM) to deploy digital cinema systems in approximately 630 first-run screens at 47 company-owned locations. The agreement includes 64 previously installed systems. When completed, state-of-the-art digital projection technology will be offered at virtually all screens.
